Photo Slide Planning Guide
Where do I start?  View our Video Slide Show Order Form and...

1.

Choose your package.
Determine an approximate length for your video slide show. This will give you an idea how many photos you'll need to gather.

Here's a basic guideline:

glassy bullet   50 photos are approximately 5-10 minutes of production.
glassy bullet 100 photos are approximately 10-15 minutes of production.
glassy bullet 150 photos are approximately 15-20 minutes of production.

Each photo will appear approximately 3-5 seconds.  This will vary depending on the photo, music tempo and the length of the music track.  Allow 8-10 photos per minute of music and 3 seconds between photos for transitions.

2.

Determine which photos would be appropriate for your occasion.
  glassy bullet  Collect sharp photographs.
glassy bullet  Organize your photos in the order you want them to appear.
glassy bullet  Number the back of the photos lightly with a pencil or use post-it notes.
glassy bullet  If you want an overlay (words appearing with the photo) on a particular picture, apply a post-it note with the wording on the back of the photo.
glassy bullet  Remember... the television screen is a rectangle.  Portrait style photos will have a border around the photo as shown below:

3.

Decide on captions and title pages.

4.

Decide on additions to your slide show.  Do you want to add video clips?  You can provide mpg files or we can convert your Standard 8mm film, Super 8mm film, VHS tapes, 8mm Cartridge, Hi8 Cartridge or MiniDV tapes to DVD and include the clips.
Other additions include personal letters, credit acknowledgements or a personal recorded message.
5. Choose your music selections.  Need ideas?  Click here.
6. Choose Standard Format 4:3 or Widescreen Format 16:9.
7. Choose an auto start DVD or a DVD with custom menu and chapters at each music track.  Note: Silver and Gold packages include a custom DVD menu.
8. Gather all your elements and come into our office or send them to us via UPS.
9. Sit back and relax.  Your one-of-a-kind video presentation will be created just for you!
